The story of Oedipus is a typical magic fable.

It is linked to the fertility cults in ancient civilisations tied to rivers: old mother earth takes a young seed into her womb, and it penetrates inside her so as to hide, sleep and generate its fruit.

But what happens down there, while the seed is macerating and dying in the earth, during the winter? What kind of story lives in the earth? How might we go inside, and see it?

The Sphinx knows, but she draws the curtain aside for those who can decipher her enigmas. Only when the children have found a solution to her puzzling questions can they go inside the cave in the ground where a seed, safeguarded there, has opened up and become a man: Oedipus.

Performance for adults and children from 7 years old.

Duration 60 minutes.
