Nascondere

Saturday 11 December 2021 at 7.30 p.m. will be presented the final event of the training project Nascondere, conceived by Romeo Castellucci, produced by Triennale in collaboration with Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea of the Ministry of Culture.

Fifteen participants and a dramaturg were selected in September 2021 through a public call. The group, made up of professionals and students in the field of contemporary arts (visual arts, design, music, graphics, photography, theatre) participated in fourteen meetings whose lines of work were:

how to create from the terror of nothing,
how to create from the terror of something,
how to create an object that does not exist between two objects that do exist,
how to lose language
and finally how to hide, to free the place of vision.

Castellucci has involved external guests as guides for this project: Carloni & Franceschetti, video artists; Andrea Cortellessa, literary critic; Silvia Rampelli, philosopher, performer and choreographer; Gaetano Lettieri, university lecturer; Patrizio Esposito, artist and photographer; Claudio Franzoni, art historian; Roberto Cuoghi, artist; Scott Gibbons, musician and composer; Yasmine Hugonnet, choreographer and dancer; Cindy Van Acker, choreographer.

The 14-day course concludes with an opening to the public, in which the participants of “Nascondere” will propose their performative actions.

The project foresees the edition of a small publication that will be entrusted to the dramaturg Caterina Piccione and to the graphic care of Patrizio Esposito, and that will gather the reflections generated by the days of work. Some in-depth studies will be published in the Triennale Milano magazine and on the website of the General Directorate for Contemporary Creativity.
