a Triennale Milano production on the occasion of the 23rd International Exhibition Unknown Unknowns. An Introduction to Mysteries

The job of living continues day after day in the fundamental duality of waking and sleeping. The supreme division of light and darkness is the false rhythm of an immobile, polar panorama that has swallowed up every word and every language. This silence is a ‘front’ that blends together the cradle and terror. A timeless sweetness, forced to exist in time…

For the 23rd International Exhibition Unknown Unknowns. An Introduction to Mysteries, Romeo Castellucci – the Triennale’s Grand Invité 2021-2024 – investigates the unknown through an installation in which the mechanical element completely replaces the human.

The work is set in dialogue with domani (“tomorrow”), a performance action presented in May as a preview of the Exhibition.
